In this article, you will learn to build your pages. First, let’s explore what premade and saved sections are.
The Saved Section feature in PageFly saves you hours of design work by allowing you to save existing sections or create new ones to reuse across all your PageFly or Shopify pages. Once published, these sections can be added to multiple pages, and any changes made to the original section will automatically sync across all instances.
Premade Sections are part of PageFly templates, designed to save you time and inspire your page building. These pre-built sections can be used instantly and are crucial for improving conversion rates.
To get started with this guide, ensure you have the following:
PageFly Installed: Make sure you have the PageFly app installed on your Shopify store. You can install PageFly .
Basic Understanding of PageFly: Familiarize yourself with the basics of using the PageFly editor.
Step 1: Click or hover on a section in the page editor and click on the + icon which is the “Add a section” button at the center of the border line.
Step 2: Select “Template” to open the library of PageFly premade sections.
Step 3: Click on the “Category” button and select the category of the section you want. PageFly offers 15+ types of premade sections for various uses, such as Sales Boost, Free Shipping, Gift Guide, etc.
Step 4: Click the “Select” button under the section that best suits your needs to add it to your page. Hit “Save” to apply your change.
To create a Saved section, you can create from the Section list or save a section on your existing pages.
Create A New Saved Section
Step 1: From the PageFly dashboard, open the Sections list.
Step 2: Click the “Create blank section” button to start building a new section from scratch, or click the “Create from templates” button to use PageFly premade section templates.
Step 3: Drag and drop elements to build your section or adjust the premade section as needed.
Step 4: Click "Save" and “Publish” to make it a Saved Section.
Save A Section On Existing Page
Step 1: In the PageFly editor, click on the section you want to save.
Step 2: Click on the “Save section” icon here.
Step 3: Enter the name for the section then hit “Save”.
Step 4: Go to the Section listing page and access the section has just been saved.
Step 5: Click “Publish” to start using it as a Saved Section.
After creating or saving the Saved section, you can now use them on your PageFly pages.
Important note: You can only use the published Saved sections on PageFly pages. The draft Saved sections will not be available for choosing on any page.
Step 1: There are 2 ways to add a saved section onto your PageFly page.
Click or hover on a section in the page editor and hit the + icon. The “Add a section” button will appear; click on it and select “Saved” to open the list of saved sections.
From the left menu, select "Page Content" scroll down, and hit the “Add section” button, then select “Saved sections”.
Step 2: Click the "Select" button under the section you want to use to add it to your page. Hit “Save” to apply your change.
With theme OS 2.0, you can add the saved section on Shopify pages.
Important note:
You can only use the published Saved sections on Shopify pages. The draft Saved sections will not be available for choosing on any page.
PageFly sections can only work with the published theme.
Step 1: In Shopify dashboard > Online store > Theme > Current Theme, hit the “Customize” button.
Step 2: In the Shopify editor page, scroll down to the “Add section” button, search for “PageFly section”.
Step 3: Click on "PageFly section" then in the Sections dropdown list, select the saved section you want to add.
Step 4: Hit “Save” to check the section on Liveview.
You can configure the saved section by clicking on the saved section and hit “Edit section” to open the section editor page and start editing it.
After you save and publish the section, it will also be saved as an image with the name [Section_name]-PF_DO_NOT_DELETE in the media files.

Regularly Review and Update: Periodically review your saved sections and update them to keep your content fresh and aligned with any changes in your design strategy.
1. Why can't I see my Saved Section in the Shopify theme editor?
Double check that your Saved Section has been published in PageFly. Only published sections will appear in the Shopify editor.
2. If I edit a Saved Section, will it update everywhere I've used it?
Yes, any changes made to the original Saved Section will automatically sync across all instances where you've added it to your pages.
3. What is the difference between Premade Sections and Saved Sections?
Premade Sections are pre-built section designs provided by PageFly, while Saved Sections are sections you create and save yourself for reuse across multiple pages.
