  • Duplicate: Duplicate the original page or element to create a variant.

  • Select: Choose a page to test again the original.

  • Create with Lift Assist: Optionally, use Lift Assist to automatically generate variants based on best practices and user behavior data.

Tip: Pages built with PageFly often start with pf- in their names. Locating those pages will help you quickly find your pages.

Step 3: Set Up Your Test Parameters

  1. Allocate Traffic (optional)

You can use the slider to allocate more or less traffic to each variant (default is 50% each).

  1. Define Test Metrics: Specify what metrics you want to track for the test:

  • Average order value

  • Conversion rate

  • Revenue per visitor

  • Clickthrough rate

  • Add-to-care rate

For instance, if you’re testing a product page, you might focus on conversion rate and CTR.

Step 4: Set Up Audience Targeting

Choose if you want to segment your audience:

  • By device targeting: All devices, mobile-only and desktop-only.

  • By visitor targeting: All visitors, new or returning visitors only.

  • By audience targeting: Segment traffic via UTM parameters, countries and more.

Step 5: Launch the Test

  • Review the test setup to ensure accuracy.

  • Click "Launch test" to launch the A/B test.

Step 6: Analyze Your Report

  • Monitor the performance of both variants in the Shoplift dashboard.

  • Analyze metrics like conversion rate, average order value, and other defined goals.

  • Review detailed analytics to understand the impact of each variant.

Use Case

Integrating Shoplift A/B Testing with PageFly allows you to optimize your Shopify store by testing various elements on your custom-built pages. Below are two primary use cases for leveraging this powerful combination:

Testing A PageFly Page

What can you test?

  • Page Layouts: Experiment with different layouts to determine which design engages visitors more effectively.

  • Content Variations: Test various headlines, text, and images to find the most compelling content.

  • Design Elements: Evaluate different buttons, colors, and fonts to see which designs enhance user experience.

  • Functional Elements: Assess forms, pop-ups, and trust badges to understand their impact on user behavior and conversion rates.

Testing A PageFly Section

You can also test a PageFly section. To include a PageFly section into your page, open the PageFly editor, add the desired section to your page, and save the changes. This section can then be tested for different variations using Shoplift to optimize its performance.

Tips And Best Practices

  • Segment Your Audience: Target specific user groups (e.g., mobile vs. desktop users) to get more precise insights. This helps tailor the experience for different visitor segments, optimizing engagement and conversions.

  • Test One Element at a Time: Focus on testing one element (e.g., CTA button) at a time to clearly understand its impact. This ensures accurate data on what changes drive improvements.

  • Use Lift Assist: Leverage Lift Assist to automatically generate effective test variants based on user behavior. This saves time and provides data-driven suggestions for optimizing your pages.
