About Instagram Feed Element

The Instagram Feed element is designed to integrate the social network into your page to increase your conversion rate. You can use this element to add social proof for your store, products, or simply introduce the social media pages of your brand to your visitors.

How To Access Instagram Feed Element

  • Step 1: Click on the Elements function on the left toolbar

  • Step 2: In the PageFly tab, click on the Instagram element under the Social section

  • Step 3: Drag and drop the variant that you need into the page editor and then start using it.

How To Configure For Instagram Feed Element

The Instagram element has plenty of parameters allowing you to fine-tune the content appearance to reach the best possible conversion rate.

Select the element in the layout and navigate to the General and Styling tabs to see its parameters.

General Settings

Navigate to the General tab to configure the Instagram Feed element:

Connect to Instagram

Connect to your Instagram by clicking on the “Connect To Instagram” button.

You will be directed to the Login page of Instagram as the image below:

Enter your store’s Instagram account information and choose the Allow button to authorize PageFly to access your profile info and media.

If your store’s Instagram account is successfully connected, it will display the notification “Access granted”.

Set Up Content Loading

Customize how your Instagram feed will load:

  • Lazy Loading: Content will load only when it comes into view on the user’s screen, saving bandwidth and improving initial page load time.

  • Standard Loading: All content loads immediately when the page opens, ensuring everything is visible right away.

Choose Total Items

Choose the number of photos you want to display (max value is 20).

Choose Layout

There are 2 layout types for Instagram Feed elements to display: Grid and Slideshow.

  • With Grid layout: It arranges products in a structured grid format, making it easy for customers to view multiple feeds at once. Check its configuration options below.

Items per row: The number of photos you want to display in a single row.

Items spacing: The spacing between images (maximum value is 100px).

Enable equal height: Turn on this option to ensure all images have equal height. You can adjust the height as needed.

Image height: Adjust the image height by increasing or decreasing the number of pixels Note: This option only appears when you disable the Enable equal height option

  • With Slideshow layout: It arranges products in a sliding banner format, allowing customers to browse through items one at a time, often with animation effects. Check its configuration options below:

Items displayed: The number of photos you want to display in a single row.

Items to Scroll: The number of additional items in a row you want to scroll.

Items spacing: The spacing between images (maximum value is 100px).

Display partial items: Turn on this option if you want to make the previous and next items partially visible.

Navigation type: There are 5 different styles for the left/right arrow navigation buttons. You can also choose "None" to hide those buttons. Note: On desktop and laptop, some options only appear on mouse over

Pagination type: There are 3 different styles for pagination indicators.

Enable Equal Height: Turn on this option if you want all images displayed to have equal height.

Image Height: Adjust the image height by increasing or decreasing the number of pixels Note: This option only appears when you disable the Enable equal height option

Common Cases

Access Not Granted or Expired Error

If your store’s Instagram account has not connected/ failed to connect or your page hasn’t been published within 60 days, it will display the notification “Access ungranted or expired”.

To resolve this, try to connect to your Instagram again by clicking on the button Connect to Instagram.

Disconnect from Instagram

If you wish to disconnect your Instagram account with your page, simply click the Revoke Access button.

Yes, you can insert up to 20 images.

5. Do I have to manually insert and edit every Instagram photo?

No, you don't. Once your Instagram account is successfully connected with your Shopify account (by a notification saying "Access granted"), the photos will be automatically inserted. The images will appear in the same order as on your Instagram feed (you can check this in the Instagram app on your phone), and you can then style this section as needed.
