About Contact Form Element
Shopify Contact Form element is designed to help you quickly collect customer’s messages or inquiries to increase your conversion rate.
- Customer’s messages will go directly to your Sender Email, which is set up in Shopify admin > Settings > Notifications.
- Each email address can be submitted an unlimited number of times.

How To Access Contact Form Element
Accessing the Contact Form element involves 3 steps:
- Step 1: Click on the 2nd icon in the left side menu which is the Element Catalog, then switch to Shopify tab.
- Step 2: Click on the Contact Form element in the dropdown menu
- Step 3: Drag and drop the element into the page editor and then start using it.
The Contact Form element comes with multiple variations covering most of your needs.
How To Configure For Contact Form Element
This element comes with plenty of parameters allowing you to fine-tune content appearance to reach the best possible conversion rate. All the elements in Contact Form have similar parameters.
To start, drag one element to the layout and select it to see its configuration.
General Settings
Show Confirmation: Enable to show customers’ Success/Error message
- Success Message: The text displayed after successful form submission.
- Error Message: The text displayed after unsuccessful form submission.
Redirect After Submission: Enable this feature to redirect customers after submission.
- Redirect URL: Enter an URL or select an URL of your site.
- Redirect Delay (seconds): Redirect after a certain amount of time (min value is 1 second, the max value is 10 seconds)

Common Cases
Sometimes your customers cannot submit their information (name, email, message) and they have this notification “Sorry, the submission can not be sent! Please try again later” after submitting your form:
In this case, you need to check again in the editor for the email field.
This is mostly because you put the wrong field for the email. You can see the image below
As you can see, the Field Type of the Email is currently set up for Single Line Text. And this is the reason why the submission cannot be sent. To fix this issue, you just need to change to the Email field of Single Line Text (or other options) into Email like the image below
Then click on the Publish button. The issue is solved!
