Alternative to Uninstalling
If you're unsure about permanently removing PageFly, consider these alternatives:
Downgrade to Free plan: If cost is a concern, you can downgrade to continue using PageFly with 1 publishable page/section.
Archive important content: Export and save your pages and sections before uninstalling.
Important: If you uninstall PageFly and later reinstall the app, you'll be subject to current pricing plans. Previous pricing arrangements, discounts, or grandfathered rates will not be restored.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is it possible to restore data after uninstalling PageFly?
No, data restoration is not possible since you confirmed the deletion.
Once the data deletion process begins, all data will be permanently deleted immediately and cannot be recovered. There is no grace period or temporary storage of your data.
If you need to keep any designs or content, you must manually back them up before starting the uninstall process.
2. What happens to my live store after uninstalling PageFly?
Your live store will be immediately affected:
All pages and sections created with PageFly will be removed from your store.
Your store will revert to using default theme templates where PageFly was previously active.
Any custom PageFly styling or functionality will be lost.
To minimize disruption, ensure you have alternative pages ready or be prepared for temporary display issues while you rebuild your store's design.
3. What about my subscription and billing?
Billing changes:
Your PageFly subscription is terminated immediately upon uninstallation.
You may continue to be charged until the end of your current Shopify billing cycle (this is managed by Shopify's billing system, not PageFly).
Any special pricing, discounts, or promotional rates will be permanently lost.
If you reinstall PageFly later, you will be subject to the pricing plans in effect at the time of your installation.
4. Can I stop the data deletion process once it starts?
The process behavior depends on which stage you're at:
During the data removal process:
If you close or reload the page while data is being removed, the process will stop
However, any data that was already deleted before the interruption will remain permanently irrecoverable
You may end up with partially deleted data, which can cause display issues on your store
After data removal is complete:
If you don't complete the final step (deleting PageFly in Shopify settings), you will be redirected to the PageFly dashboard
At this point, your PageFly data will already be gone and cannot be restored
Your app will still be technically installed in Shopify, but with no usable data
Important considerations:
Interrupting the process can leave your store in an unstable state with some PageFly elements removed but others remaining
If you accidentally interrupt the process, you should still complete the final Shopify uninstall step to avoid confusion
Contact our support team immediately if you experience issues due to an interrupted uninstall process
Recommendation: Once you start the uninstall process, it's best to let it complete fully without interruption to avoid potential issues with your store's display and functionality.
5. Will I receive confirmation of the uninstallation?
Yes, you will receive:
Visual confirmation within the PageFly app during the process.
Confirmation from Shopify once you complete the final uninstall step in the Shopify admin.
Email notification confirming the completion of uninstallation.
6. What if I change my mind after uninstalling?
Unfortunately, there's no way to recover your previous data.
If you decide to use PageFly again:
You'll need to reinstall the app from the Shopify App Store
You'll start with a completely fresh PageFly app.
You’ll be subject to the pricing plans in effect at the time of your installation.
