# What your AI assistant can do

Everything you can ask Claude, ChatGPT or another connected assistant to do with your PageFly pages — build, edit, check, measure and publish.

Once PageFly is [connected to your assistant](/integrations/ai-assistant-connector/connect-pagefly-to-claude-chatgpt-or-another-ai-assistant.md), you work with your pages by asking in plain language. You never name a tool or learn a command — the assistant picks what it needs from what you asked for.

This page is the full list of what it can reach, grouped by the job you are trying to do. Each group ends with the example phrasings that work best.

**Nothing here spends your PageFly AI credits.** Your assistant's own model does the thinking; PageFly assembles, renders and stores the result. What still applies is your plan's live-page allowance when you publish, and your heatmap slots when you switch tracking on.

### Look at your pages

Your assistant can read anything in your PageFly page list, whether you built it by hand, from a template or with the assistant itself.

* **List your pages** with type, published state and when each was last edited.
* **Describe one page** — a numbered outline of its sections and elements with the text each one carries, so you can talk about "section 3" and mean the same thing it does.
* **Read one section in detail** — every element, its copy, its settings and how it is styled at each screen size.

### Find things to build with

* **Search the template library** for page or section templates by keyword.
* **Search your store's images** across Shopify Files, your product photos and your PageFly uploads.
* **Look up your products and collections** so a product list or collection grid points at the real thing rather than whatever sorts first alphabetically.

### Build a page

The assistant reads PageFly's own page-authoring guide first — the same instructions FlyMate uses inside the editor — so it builds with real PageFly elements and layout rules rather than guessing.

1. It creates a new, **unpublished** page in your page list.
2. It adds sections one at a time, top to bottom, up to **10 sections per page**, using your store's own images.
3. It can **show you a picture** of a section before adding it, and of the whole page once the sections are in, so you can judge the look without opening anything.
4. It sends a **preview link** that renders the page inside your live theme. You do not need to be logged in to open it.
5. It publishes only when you say so.

### Change a page you already have

You never have to start a page over because one part came out wrong. Sections are numbered from the top and your assistant sees those numbers.

* **Rewrite a whole section** in place — everything else on the page is left exactly as it was.
* **Edit inside a section** — change one heading, one button colour, one image, without re-writing the rest of it.
* **Reorder sections**, or **remove** one.
* **Rename a page** or change the handle its storefront URL is built from.
* **Set the page's custom CSS or JavaScript** — the same two boxes you edit in the PageFly editor.
* **Delete a page** — permanent, and the assistant confirms with you first.

Deleting a page cannot be undone and there is no trash bin. If the page was published it comes off your storefront with it. Read the page title in the assistant's confirmation before you say yes.

### Check a page for conversion problems

Your assistant can run a **Page Checkup** — the same check PageFly runs inside the editor, against the same eight conversion criteria, scored by the same formula.

* It reads PageFly's checkup criteria, looks at pictures of your page and at measurements PageFly takes off the real page (button contrast and size, what fits in the first screen).
* It judges each criterion; **PageFly does the scoring**, so the health score you get in chat is the same number you see in the app.
* The result is saved to your page, so it appears in the Page Checkup drawer in PageFly like any other checkup.
* After it fixes something, it marks those findings as fixed and the score goes back up.
* It can also just **read your last checkup** without running a new one.

### See how your pages are performing

If you have PageFly Analytics switched on, your assistant can read the same figures you see in the app.

* **Traffic, engagement and revenue** for the whole store or one page, over any date range, with the movement against the period before.
* **A breakdown by one dimension** — which countries, devices, traffic sources, campaigns, pages or days of the week did best and worst.
* **Per-section performance** — views, clicks, add-to-carts, exit and bounce rates, and how long each section was actually on screen.
* **A/B test results**, including per-variant sessions, orders, revenue and the lift over the original.

### See where visitors click

* **Switch heatmap tracking on or off** for a published page.
* **Read the heatmap** — where people clicked and how far down they scrolled, per section — plus a link that draws it over the page itself.
* **List which pages are being tracked** and how many slots your plan allows.

### Spot broken pages

* **Page health** — pages pointing at products that no longer exist, missing images, dead variants.

### Publish and go live

* **Publish** a page to your storefront, or **unpublish** it (the page itself is kept).
* Publishing uses one of your plan's live-page slots. If your store is at its limit the assistant tells you instead of publishing.

### Plan, limits and help

* **Your plan status** — live-page slots used, AI credits, what your tier includes.
* **An upgrade link** — a Shopify approval link, created only after you agree. Nothing is charged until you approve it in Shopify.
* **Search this help center** — the assistant answers how-to questions from these articles rather than guessing.

### What it does not do

Worth knowing before you ask:

* **It never touches your Shopify admin.** No customers, no orders, no store settings, no theme files. It talks only to PageFly, about PageFly pages. See [data, permissions and security](/integrations/ai-assistant-connector/ai-assistant-connector-data-permissions-and-security.md).
* **It does not publish or delete without you.** Publishing happens when you ask; deleting a page needs your confirmation.
* **It does not work on pages built in PageFly's previous editor.** It can read them; editing those still happens in PageFly.
* **It does not replace the editor for tiny touch-ups.** Nudging one word or one colour is faster in the editor, or with FlyMate inside it.
* **It cannot see your storefront as a shopper does.** It works from your saved page, so a change you have not saved is not there yet.

### What your plan includes

Every current PageFly plan, **Free included**, gets everything on this page, within that plan's own allowances.

**Some older PageFly plans get a reduced set** — reading and describing pages, searching templates and this help center, plan status and the upgrade link. If yours is one of them, the assistant says so plainly the moment you ask for something outside that set, rather than failing quietly.

Two further things apply to every plan:

* **Analytics, heatmaps and A/B figures follow your tier.** They also need **PageFly Analytics switched on**. When something is not included, the assistant says which of the two it is rather than guessing — being told to upgrade something you already own is worse than no answer.
* **Publishing follows your live-page allowance**, exactly as it does inside PageFly.

The quickest way to know what yours covers is to ask:

> "What plan am I on, and what does it include?"

Your assistant reads it live from PageFly, so that answer is always current — more so than any table here could be.
