In this article, you will learn about another Shopify element named Collection View Details.

About Collection View Details element

The Collection View Details element is designed to display details of your collection on the corresponding collection page to increase conversion rates. You can use the Collection View Details element to promote your collections on any non-Collection page or use it on a Collection page.

Note that you can search for this element by using the search function instead of finding it in the sidebar.

Collection View Details element comes with three common variations but we will continue to add more variations to help you save time.

Collection View Details element configuration

Collection View Details element comes with plenty of parameters allowing you to fine-tune content appearance for the best possible conversion rate.

Select the element in the layout to see its parameters.

When you drag and drop the Collection View Details element into the editor page, there are 2 choices for the Collection Source for you to choose from such as:

  • Auto
  • Custom Collection

Note that if you are in the Collection Page and use the Collection View Details element, then you can choose the Collection Source option. However, if you are in a Regular Page and use this element, the Collection Source option is disabled and the Custom Collection chosen by default.

If you choose Auto, then the Collection that was assigned when you created this Collection page will be displayed in the page editor. The Auto option is the default when you use the Collection View Details element.

When customers click on the View Details button, they will be brought to the corresponding collection page. Let’s see how it works on the live page as per the example below.

General tab’s parameters
1. CONTENT
  • Button Text: Input the text as you please for the View Details button.
  • Show Icon: enable to show the > icon of the View Details button.
2. TRACKINGThis is a place to set up:

  • Facebook Pixel when a customer clicks on the element. You can read more here.
3.ATTRIBUTESThis is a parameter that all elements have. You can read more here.

Styling tab’s parameters

Button State: There are 2 options to style for this element including:

  • Normal
  • Hover: If you choose this option, everything that your style will be displayed only after you hover the mouse over the View Details button.
