You can easily export or import pages by clicking into the Export or Import buttons in the dashboard of the PageFly app as per the screenshot below.

Export

Export single page

Click into the 3 horizontal dots icon named More, then choose the Export option as per the below photo.

There will be a notification shown: Images used in the page will NOT be exported. You will need to download images and then upload them individually via Image Manager in the destination page.
Choose “I understand that images will not be exported.”, and then click the Export button.

The BFCM Sale page in the example above will be exported as a “BFCM Sale.json” file.

Export multiple pages

When you choose Export, there will be an Export Pages box appearing, providing you with 4 options:

  • All pages from your store
  • All pages in this page type
  • Selected pages

Export all pages from your store

If you choose the All pages option in the Export Pages box, then all the pages you have created by PageFly will be exported.

By choosing the All pages in this page type option, all the pages in the current pages list will be exported to your computer. For example, when you are in the Regular page list, then the regular pages which are being displayed on the current list will be exported.

Export selected pages

You can choose pages selectively by clicking on each of them and then on the Export button.

You can export all pages listed in the search result for some keywords. This option will show the number of results which are matching with the word(s) searching.

Import

Import as a new page

You can import a new page like so:

  1. In the page list, click the Import button.
  2. Select the JSON file that you get after exporting the page.

Note that only valid JSON files are accepted.

3. The name of the file will be displayed here

The imported page will preserve the original page type and be set as Unpublished

4. Choose “I understand that images will not be exported.”
5. Click on the Import button.

Import to an existing page

You can import to an existing page like so:

  1. In the page list, click the 3 horizontal dots icon named More for the page you want to import to (destination page), then choose the Import option.
  2. Select the JSON file that you got after exporting the page.

4. Click on the Import button.

The imported page will overwrite the content of the destination page.

When you export multiple pages, these pages will be contained in a zip file on your computer. To import those pages, you will have to extract that zip file first and then you can import each page individually.
