In this article, you’ll learn how to enrich the content of your product page to convey more information about the product and increase conversion rates accordingly.
Relationship between default Shopify and Pagefly product page
The default Shopify product contains just a few pieces of information. With that in mind, PageFly allows you to add more information about the products so that it will extend into more chances to convert your visitors to customers.
It is worth remembering that PageFly product page does not thoroughly replace Shopify product page, but it will be appended into the default product page and will re-use all the parts from the original product page. Below is how we used PageFly elements to empower a default Shopify product page.
Step 1: Link the PageFly page to a product page
To add more content to a product page, the first step you need to carry out demonstrated as below:
- Go to PageFly Dashboard, click on the + sign.
- Under EDIT PRODUCT PAGE, click Select product.
- Choose the product you want to add more details for its page.
- Then click Select product button.
The app will launch the product page for the product that you previously picked. Additionally, there will be a prompt which asks you to choose a template for the page. In this article, we’ve chosen to start with no templates.
Quickly press Save & Publish on your newly created blank product page so we can check for the default Shopify content on the Live Page

Step 2: Add an Image with text to your product page
Because the image is one of the best ways to convey information, here we choose Image with text section to make the page look more stunning.
Step 3: Add an Instagram element to the product page
|Due to the popularity of Instagram, it is a good idea to add an Instagram element into the page. Instagram is available as a variation of the Social element|
After dragging and dropping Instagram element, it will look like this in your editor.
Step 4: Add a video to this product page
|Since video would convey more information, it’s good to have one about the product on your page. Here we used Youtube under Media element to embed a Youtube video into the this page.|

Step 5: Add a testimonial section to your product page
After that, let’s add one more section to convince your visitors that buying the product is a good choice. In this case, I use the Testimonials section. Simply go to Add element > Section > Testimonials > Drag and drop the variations you want to the page.
This section is useful in case you would like to gain trust from your customers by showing proof.
Step 6: Add an Add To Cart button to increase the likelihood of conversion
|By default, there is only one Call To Action (CTA) on the product page which is the button included in the product element. Therefore, adding Add to cart button element into various locations (e.g beneath the product video or testimonial) on your product page will increase the conversion rate.|
Link this button to the same product of this product page so the product can be added to your visitor’s cart after the button is clicked on.
Check the Live Page for result of your product page after adding an Image with Text section, Instagram element, Youtube element, testimonial section and an Add to cart button element. You will see the default Shopify content on top following by your newly added PageFly content.
